Alessandro is originally from Los Angeles, California and graduated from San Juan
Bautista School of Medicine where he met his wife, Laura, who is also a resident at
UWFMR-Cheyenne. He became fluent in Spanish after living in Puerto Rico for the last
6 years. He is interested in full spectrum rural medicine. After volunteering in
a clinic in Honduras in 2010, he decided he would one day practice medicine for free.
To him, Family Medicine is what being a doctor has always been about. Alessandro
enjoys planting fruit trees such as avocados, mangos and date palms, reading about
revolutionary history and biographies, weight lifting, and going on road trips with
his wife and dog. He believes that a better world is possible and wants to help build
it.
