Overview
The Criminal Justice Program offers a Pre-Law concentration for Criminal Justice majors that consists of courses selected from several departments across the university. These courses were chosen to help prepare students for the challenges of law school and the practice of law.
Along with the 40 hours of criminal justice degree requirements, an additional 27 credit hours--18 of which must be 3000-level courses or above--must be earned for the Pre-Law Concentration.

Completion of the Pre-law Concentration prepares Criminal Justice students to compete for entry into law school. Additionally, the Pre-Law Concentration acclimates students to the rigors of law school and law practice.
The concentration gives exposure to a diverse and demanding undergraduate liberal arts curriculum; law schools prefer Criminal Justice applicants with diverse extra-curricular interest and involvement in campus activities in addition to rigorous coursework and high achievement.
