The Old Faithful Inn faced challenges in preservation and renovation due to incomplete architectural documentation. To address this, the Scan-to-BIM project utilized advanced laser scanning and modeling technologies to create accurate digital records. The project generated a 3D BIM model and immersive fly-through animation using tools such as the Topcon GLS-2000, Leica BLK360, DJI Air 2S Drone, and Matterport system. These deliverables filled documentation gaps, supported preservation planning, and enhanced public engagement through accessible visualizations. This approach demonstrated the effectiveness of Scan-to-BIM for heritage conservation, providing a replicable model for similar projects. The findings underscore the importance of employing the BIM model and associated visuals in planning and outreach initiatives. Furthermore, the methodology presents significant potential for broader application to other heritage sites, warranting further exploration and adaptation in similar contexts.
