No, students have 3 options for completing the Doctoral Capstone Project, one of which is a traditional doctoral manuscript. The Doctoral Portfolio and the Community Impact Program options are both public-facing capstone projects that are equivalent in work to the traditional dissertation.
All admitted full-time students are fully funded for up to four years. Funding includes an annual stipend, a tuition and fee waiver, and health insurance. Full time students are awarded graduate teaching assistantships or, when available, graduate research assistantships.
