Grasshoppers of Wyoming and the WestTrimerotropis sparsa

Trimerotropis sparsa is the only grasshopper in western Wyoming with light blue hindwings. It is most common in western Wyoming where it prefers areas of barren or eroded soil, often on sagebrush or greasewood flats. Adults are present from August to early September. It is not considered an economic pest in Wyoming.
