SUBFAMILY CYRTACANTHACRIDINAE

Only a single species in the subfamily Cyrtacanthacridinae occurs in Colorado. This species is large, green or yellow-brown, with a pale yellow band from the head to the tips of the tegmina. It is found throughout Colorado but usually is not abundant.
