Research

Research in the Beck Wildlife Habitat Restoration Ecology Lab at the University of Wyoming focuses on linking wildlife population responses to habitat conditions, evaluating the effectiveness of habitat treatments, and monitoring long-term trends in species and ecosystems. Projects range from studying elk response to wind energy development and pronghorn productivity in the Red Desert, to sage-grouse migration ecology, habitat selection, and population dynamics. Together, this work advances understanding of how wildlife and landscapes interact in the face of environmental change, human activity, and conservation management.

Research

Jeffrey Beck’s research includes a wide range of completed and ongoing studies that explore the relationships between wildlife, habitat, and land management. His work addresses topics such as population responses to environmental change, the effectiveness of habitat treatments, and long-term monitoring of species across Wyoming and the West. Together, these efforts contribute to a deeper understanding of how wildlife and landscapes interact over time.
