Graduate Student Travel Grants

To support your professional development and help you connect with the broader scientific community, the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management provides each graduate student with up to $300 per year in travel funding. This support is intended to help cover the cost of attending professional meetings, conferences, or workshops where you can present your research, build your network, and engage with current issues in your field. Attending these events is a valuable part of your graduate experience, and the department is proud to invest in opportunities that contribute to your academic and career growth. Additional travel support may also be available through your faculty advisor or other university sources.

Departmental travel grant requirements:

      1. Major advisor approval to attend the meeting;
      2. Presentation of an oral or poster paper on research you have conducted in the UW's Ecosystem Science and Management department;
      3. Work with ESM Department staff to make funding arrangements;
      4. Upon your return, you must fill out a reimbursement form and submit an expense reimbursement request via WyoCloud.
