FCSC Mission & Student Learning Outcomes:
Our mission is to strengthen families and communities with an emphasis on rural environments.
We recognize that societies are increasingly dynamic and interdependent. Therefore, we aspire to fulfill our mission through instructional, research, and outreach/extension efforts that challenge, motivate, and inspire learners and educators to be effective personal and professional contributors within this global arena.
As faculty, we strive to provide a learning environment that allows for content knowledge within a specific area of concentration, as well as a broader set of skills that are relevant to all concentrations within our discipline of Family and Consumer Sciences. Specifically, our curriculum is designed to support the development of skills and knowledge in the following four areas:
