Resource management decisions are characterized by complexity and and uncertainty in situations that are increasingly contentious and politically divisive. Issues often involve multiple stakeholders each attempting to achieve their own objectives in multiple, overlapping political jurisdictions. In this course you will learn a systematic way of working with stakeholders to think about critical problems using a simple set of concepts and helpful steps that can be combined with an array of simple to highly quantitative analytical methods for decision making. Taught in one of the University of Wyoming's computer labs, you will learn to use decision-aiding tools such as objectives hierarchies, Bayesian networks, and multi-criteria decision analysis.
Workshop runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second day. Lunch is provided.
