The Department of History at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, in the field of Asian history. Historically informed research in all regions, time periods, and thematic emphases is welcome. The position will begin August 2024. A Ph.D. or equivalent is required by the time of appointment.
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching a 2:3 course load, including undergraduate core classes in History (for example, a world history survey and general historical methods and theory) as well as undergraduate and graduate electives in Asian history. They will also have the opportunity to teach classes in their area of expertise. In addition, this faculty member will contribute to the Department of History's funded M.A. program by teaching graduate classes and supervising M.A. students. Undergraduate advising and departmental service are also expected.
