COVID-19 Testing Resources


  • Schedule a Diagnostic Test

    Weekly 3% of UW Students, Staff, or Faculty are selected for diagnostic testing. If you are not included in this testing pool but wish to have a diagnostic test completed you may schedule one through UW's test booking system



  • Opt-out of Confirmatory Testing

    Students, Staff, and Faculty that are selected as part of the 3% random sampling may opt-out of testing for one of these three reasons:
    1. You are at least two weeks past being fully vaccinated, or 
    2. You have completed a COVID diagnostic test within the last five days, or
    3. You have other unforeseen issues the week of testing, including being away from campus (e.g., taking vacation, illness).

  • Testing Accommodations

    Faculty, staff and students who require medical accommodation, are at high risk or have a family member that is at high risk may request a testing accommodation by filling out the form linked below. This process provides reasonable accommodations and alternatives for testing. Testing accommodations may or may not pull the employee out of the testing population.






With the establishment of the Flexible Work Arrangement Policy, all benefited employees who are working remotely must follow the new process to be marked in HCM.  When an employee has a Flexible Work Arrangement in place and HCM is noted as 100% remote, the employee will not be included in 3% sample testing population.  Employees who were marked in HCM as 100% remote during previous phases of the pandemic will need to complete the new flexible work process to be removed from future testing.  Only the new Flexible Work assignment fields will be used to remove individuals from testing starting July 1, 2021.
