The 2SLGBTQIAP+ employee network is open to any UW employee who self-identifies as a sexual or gender minority or who is questioning their identity in this regard. We hope to create a sense of community, hold social events, discuss SLGBTQIAP+ specific professional issues, and provide opportunities for mentoring.
Hello! My name is Courtney Titus (she/her) and I am the Senior Project Coordinator for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. I am one of the co-leaders of the 2SLGBTIAP+ Employee Network. I am a UW alum with degrees in Secondary English Education and Psychology. I have been an advocate and activist for 2SLGBTIAP+ issues across the state of Wyoming for almost a decade now. I hope to help facilitate and foster a sense of community among the 2SLGBTIAP+ employee community here at UW. Coalition-building and community engagement are values I hold dearly both personally and professionally and plan to bring those into the spaces we create via this E-Net.
Hey Y'all! My name is Koraline Wolfgang (they/them) and I am queer identifying young adult who is passionate about community development and building a sense of belonging here in Wyoming. I am an introvert with extrovert features, meaning I love my down time but am ready to get involved at a moment’s notice. I work in Multicultural Affairs as the Queer Program Advisor and help supervise the Poke Pride Center (Union room 106). I also am a board member at Laramie Pridefest and on the committee for the Campfire Initiative at Albany County Safe Project. I am determined to advocate for 2SLGBTQIAP+ populations at UW through visibility initiatives, inclusive intersectional program planning, and resource guidance. In my free time I often am reading a book, finding gender affirming activities to participate in or at the movie theater as I am a major movie buff. At the end of the day, I hope people know I am there to listen, to learn, and to always grow. Being queer, I like to think of myself as a Pokémon as I am always evolving within my identity.
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion LGBTQ+ Employee Network partnered with
community organizers of Laramie PrideFest to host a Picnic and Outdoor Trivia event
during Pride Month, on June 8, 2021. This event had more than 40 participants consisting
of UW faculty and staff and community members. Three rounds of trivia were played
with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community and their history. Congratulations Domen Novak,
LGBTQ Employee Network Team Leader, on coordinating such a successful program!
We are pleased with the turnout for this event and all that PrideFest does to support
the LGBTQ+ Community and its allies.
For our first event of the semester, we had a welcome back BBQ at Dickeys BBQ Pit. We were able to connect and see how folks were doing after the holiday as well as talk through the plan for the rest of the semester. The folks that were able to attend had a fun time and it was good to connect with friends that we do not get to see often throughout our day jobs. We spent about an hour and a half chatting, eating and connecting with colleagues from across campus.
