Bethany Aragon is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and a second-year student in the University of Wyoming’s dual J.D./M.A. program in Environment and Natural Resources. Following a distinguished military career focused on psychological operations, strategic engagement, and interagency and multi-national collaboration, she is now pursuing a second career as an environmental advocate—while embracing the outdoor lifestyle Wyoming has to offer.

Originally from Oregon, Bethany developed a deep love of the outdoors early in life and has chosen to make Wyoming her permanent home. She hopes to continue her lifelong commitment to service by building a legal career rooted in science-informed, responsible stewardship of Wyoming’s natural resources and wild landscapes.

In her free time, Bethany enjoys snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, climbing, and mountain biking with her dog, Valkyrie—and plans to add hunting to her adventures this fall.
