- About UW
Kevin is a native of Portland, Oregon. He attended BYU-Idaho for his undergraduate degree and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Sociology.
Impressed by the small-town feel of Wyoming, Kevin chose to attend the University of Wyoming College of Law for his law degree. In addition to the small size, he was impressed by the wide array of clinical opportunities afforded to it's students.
While in law school, Kevin has been extremely active. He is a member of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, the Wyoming Law Students for Equal Justice, the Wyoming Society for International Law and the Ewing T. Kerr Inns of Court. Additionally, he has worked as research assistant for Professor Darrell Jackson and served as a Student Ambassador for the 1L's.
Kevin also serves on the Editorial Board for the Wyoming Law Review as an article editor.
Kevin was drawn to the Prosecution Clinic after working as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable E. James Burke. He believes that gaining first-hand experiernce and working directly with the legal community in the state has been incredibly rewarding.
"Working in a clinic represents the opportunity to apply hands-on what we've been learning in the classroom," he says. " In the clinic, not only are we able to get that skills training, but we are also able to give back to the State while we learn."
