I was born and raised in Northern Colorado and learned to love the Rocky Mountain West at an early age. Upon graduation from high school, I studied abroad in London, before beginning my higher education at Northeastern University in Boston. At Northeastern, I completed a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology and criminal justice and graduated Cum Laude in 2018.
Before deciding to pursue a legal career, I worked at the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance and at a group home for foster children in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. These work experiences motivated my desire to enroll in law school. Upon arriving at the University of Wyoming, I knew immediately that I wanted to work in a clinic.
As a hands-on learner, I thrive in a real-world environment with clients. Applying the legal theories taught in class to live scenarios has been invaluable. I am honored to serve as the student director of the Family & Child Legal Advocacy Clinic this year, and I look forward to working alongside the highly dedicated students in the clinic. I also feel exceptionally lucky to have been mentored by Professor Dona Playton, whose commitment to serving victims of violence and disenfranchised communities is limitless.
During my time in law school, I have served as co-president of the American Constitutional Society, secretary of the Bloom Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and vice president of the law school’s LGBTQ organization, OutLaw. I am also a representative for BARBRI and a member of the Women’s Law Forum, and I participate in the school’s chapter of the Equal Justice Society. I've most recently begun volunteering as a student attorney in the Defender Aid Clinic, seeking to expand my practical experience as much as possible.
I hope to ultimately work in family law or criminal defense, more specifically advocating for and working with children interacting with the legal system.
