Student Clinic Director: Jael Morsett

As a kid, I always believed I’d become a lawyer. I was born and raised in Gillette and left Wyoming to attend the University of Oklahoma for my undergraduate degree in business administration. While there, I realized how much I missed Wyoming and my family and decided to apply to the University of Wyoming of law school. The Civil Legal Services Clinic has brought me one step closer to my dream.

I started in the clinic as a volunteer during my spring semester of my first year of law school. The next year, as the Civil Legal Services Clinic 2L legal assistant, I felt the spark of interest for civil litigation. I've had the opportunity to learn from many people, including the two faculty directors. It was an honor and privilege to work with Danielle Cover in her last years as the faculty director, and I am excited to work with Caryn Schreiber, as she takes over in the clinic. The student director position creates amazing opportunities to help the Wyoming community. The knowledge I've gained feels astronomical, and I will carry it with me for the rest of my life.

After law school, I hope to continue to work with communities that need it the most. Thankfully, I have a great support system to help me end up wherever the job takes me!
