Estate Planning and Probate Clinic
2026-2027 Student Clinic Director: Laeona Frank
I was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado, where I developed a great appreciation for the Front Range. I spent my life wanting to attend law school and pursue higher education. While in high school, I completed my Criminal Justice AA at the local community college. Later, I attended CSU in Fort Collins, where I found my love for business and finance. I ended up earning my degree in Financial Planning, with a passion for helping others sort out their finances. From there, I attended the University of Wyoming, where my passion for estate planning began to take root.
Here, I was so excited to join the Estate Planning and Probate Clinic in any way that I could. With this, I was taken on as the Legal 2L Assistant and was able to see how the clinic worked. My passion was truly in helping the clients of the clinic through probate.
During my first summer, I also interned at Hathaway and Kunz under the Blockchain Fellowship, where I was able to learn more about estate planning and see more of the civil law side of things. My second summer, I had an amazing experience at Walker Law Firm. Here, I saw so much practical estate planning and helped with a lot of civil legal work.
However, the Estate Planning and Probate Clinic has been the best experience of my law school career. I have learned so much, gained so much practical experience, and seen many different sides of probate and estate planning. I couldn't recommend the Estate Planning and Probate Clinic enough, either as a class or for those seeking its services as clients. The care, due diligence, and expertise I have witnessed have made this one of the best educational experiences I have ever had.
In my personal life, I enjoy the great outdoors! You can find me paddleboarding on the weekends and hiking with my fiancé, Ryan. I also have a passion for artwork and spend much of my free time expressing myself creatively through painting, pottery, drawing, and crafts. I also have it on good authority that I am an excellent cook who enjoys making a delicious homemade meal.
I’m excited to continue working with our faculty director, Mario, and our new 2L legal assistant, Hannah, as we help serve clients across the state.
