2026-2027 Student Clinic Director: Barret Barker

Barret Barker grew up in Greeley, CO. He attended Windsor High School where he played football and competed in shot put. In 2021, Barret earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with a Minor in Business and a Certificate in Writing. Throughout his undergraduate, Barret was active in the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and served as the Business Manager for Journal Twenty Twenty - the University's creative nonfiction journal.

After graduating, Barret interned with the Weld County Attorney’s Office in Greeley, where he discovered a passion for serving his local community. Drawn by the proximity to family and the strong clinical opportunities available, he chose to attend the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school, he has worked as the Manager of the PLC Bookstore; interned with the Albany County and Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Laramie, WY; and spent this past summer interning with the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Wyoming.

As the Student Director of the Prosecution Assistance Program, Barret is committed to helping his fellow students gain meaningful practical experience. His goal is to get students into the courtroom and equip them with the skills needed to succeed as prosecutors. In addition, Barret hopes to further strengthen partnerships with prosecutors across the state. After law school, he hopes to work as a prosecutor and advocate for victims in either Wyoming or Colorado.
