A great day to be a Cowboy!

Saturday, May 11, at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts, the University of Wyoming College of Law conferred Juris Doctorate degrees on 84 new graduates, including two who earned dual JD/Master of Public Administration degrees and three who earned dual JD/Energy, Environment and Natural Resources degrees.

The Class of 2024 was made up of half women and half men who hailed from states such as Maine, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Texas, California, Arizona, Utah and Colorado, as well as Wyoming.

Commencement speakers selected by the Class of 2024 were City of Cheyenne Municipal Judge David Singleton, Professor Lauren McLane, and Darby Margaret Clark, president of the John Burman Student Government.

Thank you to the families, donors, faculty, staff, volunteers, and others who supported these students in their law school journey. As Darby Clark observed, “Every day is a good day to be a Cowboy, but today especially, it feels particularly excellent to stand here as not just a Cowboy, but a College of Law Cowboy.”
