UW Libraries has implemented the ExLibris tool, Leganto, now integrated with WyoCourses (Canvas) as "Readings and Resources," to streamline Course Reserves and Course Readings for the University of Wyoming community. This tool supports both faculty and students in their teaching and learning.

About Readings and Resources

Readings and Resources in WyoCourses allows instructors to create comprehensive content lists, including library materials and resources from platforms like YouTube. These lists can be saved, reused, edited and shared, making managing course readings and reserves more efficient.

What are the benefits of the new course material tool?

This tool enables instructors to easily integrate UW Libraries' resources into their WyoCourses. Instructors with appropriate WyoCourses privileges can build lists incorporating content from the library's main search, publicly accessible platforms, open education resources and more.

Benefits for Instructors

  • Build and collaborate on course resource lists
  • Provide easy student access to course materials via WyoCourses
  • Roll over resource lists from semester to semester
  • Track student engagement with course materials

Benefits for Students

  • More manageable reading lists
  • Direct, easy access to online resources
  • Mobile-friendly interface
  • Enhanced learning and study success
