Multi-Media Lab

Studio Coe, located in Coe Library 237 on level 2, is a multimedia lab where students and instructors can get help with digital projects like video editing, podcasting, virtual reality, and access the full Adobe Creative Suite. Trained staff provide assistance through the help desk for one-on-one consultations or with in-depth workshops and trainings.

About Studio Coe

Drop in for help with Adobe CC programs, video-editing software (iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere), audio-editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro), and game-development software (Visual Studio Code, Unity, Blender).

 

Studio Coe also offers state-of-the-art virtual reality setups with HTC Vive Pro 3D headsets, where users can experience VR, explore creative tools, and develop new projects.

 

Additionally, Studio Coe features a soundproof audio-recording space for podcasts, songs, and other audio projects. For reservations, contact us at 307-766-7002 or studioco@uwyo.edu, though drop-ins are welcome.

 

Studio Coe’s video-recording space (Coe Library Rm 206) allows students to practice, record, and critique presentations, create video projects, and use a green screen.

On-demand workshops

Thank you for your interest in Studio Coe's On-Demand workshops! These are workshops that are available upon request and are held in Studio Coe (Coe 237). These workshops are intended for small groups (2-10 people) of students and/or faculty members who want hands-on experience in the software Studio Coe has available. If you are a faculty member interested in scheduling a class visit and/or instructional session with Studio Coe, please fill out this form.

We currently have three workshops available for request:

  1. Intro to Video Editing: Learn essential editing techniques, including trimming raw video, adding music, transitions, and text, to create polished looking video projects.

  2. Intro to Audio Editing: Master the basics of audio editing, such as trimming and normalizing audio, removing background noise, and achieving high-quality sound for your projects.

  3. Podcasting 101: Delve into the behind-the-scenes process of planning, recording, and producing your podcast, from your initial concept to your first episode.
