UW Libraries provides resources and services to support your success as a graduate student in research, scholarship, and teaching. Did you know you can:

Consult with your research librarian who provides specialized support for resources and databases in your field and discipline.
Attend a variety of workshops to build your skills including citation management tools, scholarly identity, literature reviews, and more.
Get coding and digital methodologies support from our Digital Scholarship Librarian and Digital Scholarship Center programming.
Develop your scholarly research identity including Google Scholar profiles, ORCiDs, and more. Meet with our Scholarly Communications & Open Publishing Librarian or learn more about scholarly profiles.
Host published, pre-print, or supplemental versions of your publications in our institutional repository, WyoScholar. You can also host your conference presentations, videos, and more.
Meet with our Data Management Librarian or learn more about resources that support use, management, curation, and preservation of research data.

Librarians are happy to work with classes that have a research component at any course level. To arrange a librarian to visit you class, please fill out an instruction request.

Additionally, librarians can create step-by-step tutorials, research guides, or videos for your classes that support the course assignments and goals. Request a learning object by filling out an instruction request.

Library Coaches are undergraduate peer mentors trained in research skills. They can help your students with finding quality information about a topic for their course, find background information or answer other questions about the Libraries. Library Coaches offer drop-in desk hours and are also available by appointment.

We offer four standalone workshops aimed at helping students develop research questions, evaluate sources, understand academic honesty and plagiarism, and sharpen their skills for upper-level assignments. You can share these workshops with your classes and allow them to earn extra credit for attending--all through Canvas Commons and the SOAR platform. Distance STUDENT RESOURCES

UW Libraries provides extensive support for distance students, offering access to online databases, e-books, research assistance via Zoom meetings, email or chat, interlibrary loan services for materials not available online, and online guides tailored to assist with research and citation.
