Move-in is scheduled for Saddle Up participants on Friday, August 15, 2025. Residents that are not participating in Saddle Up will move-in on August 23, 2025.

The room placement email will contain a link to request any changes prior to move-in. This does not guarantee a change can be made. If a room update can be made prior to move-in, an updated booking email will be sent to you. Otherwise, you will move into your assigned space and work with the residence coordinator of your building for a possible room change later in the semester.

Packing can be overwhelming – we've tried to make it as simple as possible. Check out our move-in guide and our Preparing for Move-In page to make your packing easier.

There will be several moving carts available to assist with moving your belongings into your room. To use a cart, you will have to leave behind an ID (not your WyoOne card) until returned. Residents are welcome to bring their own moving supplies (i.e., dolly) as well!

There may be some lines for the elevators and carts, but they move quickly! Pay attention to your move-in time.

All students are part of a process called roommate agreements. Your Resident Assistant (RA) will talk with you about completing your agreement. If something falls through or if one roommate is not holding up the agreement, your RA will assist you in a mediation process.

A full-time, live-in Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for each Residence Hall. Also, a student staff member, called an RA (Resident Assistant), lives on every floor.

The concern for the safety and security of our residents is shared by all segments of the university. The dorms are locked 24/7 and residents gain access to their respective building through electronic access using their WyoOne ID card. The university also has a full-time police department.

A meal plan is required for those students living in the residence halls. Our meal plans give students freedom from grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning up and provides good daily nutrition. Our dining center serves as an extension of students' living space.

Although you don't need a parking permit during move-in, contact Transportation and Parking Services to learn about purchasing a permit for the academic year.
