Undergraduate Programs

Almost all students entering the University of Wyoming as a freshman or sophomore will be required to take mathematics courses as part of their graduation requirements. A placement program should be utilized to find where you should start in our courses.

The Center for Assistance in Statistics & Mathematics (CASM) is a free drop-in tutoring center for students enrolled in lower division math and statistics courses (up to the 3000 level)

Undergraduate Degree Offerings

We offer Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in mathematics and Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in statistics for those looking for a four year degree. In addition to a traditional major degree, we offer dual, concurrent, and distributed major degrees for mathematics and statistics.

There is also a minor degree in mathematics and minor degree in statistics for majors in other departments, as well as an interdepartmental computer science minor.

For students looking to attend graduate school we have options to fast track that path with 4+1 mathematics and 4+1 statistics programs, along with traditional graduate programs.
