Master of Science in Molecular Biology

This is a research-oriented Master of Science in Molecular Biology. It is open for new students with a Bachelor's degree to apply (both those from University of Wyoming and those from other institutions). Funding in this program is not guaranteed and is to be negotiated with the PI whose lab you will join. Summary of program details are available upon request.

Admissions
Contact the MOLB faculty member you wish to pursue graduate studies with to coordinate your application. You will need to provide a CV, a 2-page statement of research interests and career plans, contact information for three references, transcripts from previous institutions you have studied at, and GRE scores (for those applying from institutions outside of University of Wyoming).

Course Work
30 hours of research and course credits are required. Absolute requirements include 6 credits of graduate Biochemistry and 2 credits of research seminar.

Qualifying Exams
There is an oral exam at the end of the first year.

Thesis and Final Exam
Students are required to complete a final oral exam, submit a thesis, and present the work publicly.
