Here is the most current schedule for Woodwind Day on March 29, 2025!
UWYO Woodwind Day provides opportunities for students and teachers alike. A featured exhibitor will also be present with trial instruments, accessories for sale, and quick repairs available on-site.
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the University of Wyoming, Buchanan Center for Performing Arts, in Laramie.
WWD is absolutely FREE to all full-time students! And you get pizza!
A tentative schedule has been listed above, but you will receive the final schedule upon registration.
It’s how we get your contact information in order to send you any updates to the schedule, and it’s how we generate our head count for ordering food. If you miss out on pre-registration, you can still register on- site the day of WWD until 10am.
Flutists, oboists, clarinetists, bassoonists, and saxophonists of all ages will find things to do. The ensemble reading sessions are appropriate for grade 8 and up, breakout sessions for younger players will focus on fundamentals (grades 5-7), and play-along workshops are appropriate for all ages and playing abilities. Beginners or those who are considering starting a woodwind instrument in the future will also learn a lot from listening, watching, and interacting with UW’s faculty, students, and guest artist.
Ideally, request funding as soon as you can in the summer. Barring this possibility, we suggest registering your students so that they get the music in time to successfully participate in the ensembles. For group registrations, just email Dr. Riner at nriner@uwyo.edu. Hopefully your funding will come through, but if it doesn’t please drop us an email to cancel so that we can update our records.
