Christie J. Wildcat

Bachelor of Arts: Anthropology, Native American & Indigenous Studies, and Political
Science
Christie Wildcat is an enrolled Northern Arapaho on her maternal side, and also Cherokee
on her maternal side. As for her paternal side, she is Pawnee and Navajo. She is from
the Wind River Reservation, located in central Wyoming, but currently resides in Laramie,
Wyoming. She is a recent graduate of the University of Wyoming, with a triple major
in Native American studies, Anthropology, and Political Science. She has received
her dual-reverse Associates Degree from Central Wyoming College in Anthropology. Her
career goals are to recover lost artifacts in cases across the globe and to be a curator
of the American Indian National Museum. Her goal is to preserve culture, and to prevent
the culture from dying out. She currently serves as the founder of the Wind River
All Action Crew, she is a McNair Scholar, a Mortar Board Secretary, and the Center
for Native American Youth secretary for the Youth Advisory Board. She is also a jingle
dress dancer, and on her way to being fluent in Northern Arapaho.

me through the NAIS major.
Future Plans:
I plan to continue my education at the University of Wyoming in the Anthropology Masters
program.
