Summer Enrichment Classes to Begin at UW

May 14, 2008

A diverse selection of enrichment classes will be offered this summer by the University of Wyoming. Courses begin May 19, with staggered start dates throughout the summer.

The UW summer enrichment course catalog is scheduled to show up in mailboxes this week. Titled "Community Connections," the catalog is packed with a lineup of classes sure to provide ample options to stay active this summer.

"There is a great selection of new and exciting classes available in the summer catalog," says Heather Landers, Enrichment Classes coordinator.

Classes cover topics such as "Mountain Pine Beetle," "Wine Tasting," "Ranching Escapades with Cowboy Viggo," "Science Alive," and NASA's live Phoenix Lander touchdown on Mars.

Several fitness classes are being offered, ranging from racquetball and golf to Pilates, yoga and hydrobics.

A list of offerings is also available online at http://outreach.uwyo.edu/enrichment. For more information or to register by phone call (307) 766-6802.

Instructors interested in teaching a class during the fall semester can contact Landers at (307) 766-6801 or e-mail cse_enrichment1@uwyo.edu.
