SBDC Webinar to Focus on Content Marketing

Creating great online marketing content will be the subject of a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) webinar Thursday, Jan. 5, from 2-3 p.m.

Corissa St. Laurent, a small-business marketing expert and advocate, with 15 years of experience in relationship marketing, will present the webinar, “Content Marketing: What to Say and How to Say It.”

The SBDC is a partnership among the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDC focuses on educating small-business owners and potential owners on how to successfully start and operate small businesses. The SBDC’s main office is located at UW.

During the webinar, St. Laurent will cover tips, including how many web links will create the most engagement; how to turn questions into high-open subject lines; using graphics, pictures and videos; and repurposing content across multiple platforms. She also will provide companies with the structure and tools to make content creation fast, easy and effective.

As a former small-business owner, St. Laurent founded and operated two companies, and understands the dedication and resources necessary for a small business to grow and succeed. St. Laurent has been with Constant Contact since 2009 and is currently the northwest U.S. director. She manages a team of local marketing expert presenters who deliver marketing education throughout the Northwest.

The webinar fee is $15, and attendees can register at www.wyomingsbdc.org.

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. For more information, call Peggy Baker at 1-800-348-5194.

The Wyoming SBDC Network is a business advising group of the Wyoming SBDC, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Market Research Center and SBIR/STTR Initiative. The network’s mission is to help Wyoming entrepreneurs succeed. Advising and most market research activities are free of charge to Wyoming residents.

The SBDC is funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA. Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Business Council and UW.
