Even though she is just 15 years old, pianist Daniela Liebman has already performed publicly more than 30 times on four continents and with 20 orchestras. She will bring her talents to the University of Wyoming Friday, Feb. 16.
Liebman will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. UW Presents, formerly UW Cultural Programs, sponsors Liebman’s performance.
Tickets cost $15 for the public; $12 for faculty, staff and senior citizens; and $10 for students. Tickets are available at the Wyoming Union information desk and the Performing Arts box office, by calling (307) 766-6666 or going online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.
“UW Presents is thrilled to bring pianist Daniela Liebman in recital. At the young age of 15, Miss Liebman is already an international sensation, making waves on the world stage as an up-and-coming pianist,” says Janelle Fletcher, UW Presents director.
Growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico, Liebman began piano studies at age 5 and then appeared with a professional orchestra at 8 years old. Since then, she has been featured in a plethora of solo recitals, orchestras and concert series, and also has performed in the most renowned concert halls around the world.
In 2016 and 2017, Liebman was named one of the “Forty Most Creative Mexicans in the World” by Forbes Magazine. She also has won many competitions for her piano playing around the globe.
“Her program will feature a large number of romantic works by Beethoven, Chopin and Prokofiev -- a stunning evening of big melodies, to be certain,” Fletcher adds.

Each year, UW Presents brings a variety of internationally known performers to campus, often at ticket prices much less than at larger venues. Each season usually features five performances during the fall semester and five more during the spring semester. All shows are at 7:30 p.m. in either the Performing Arts concert hall or the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.
