Members of the University of Wyoming community are reminded that they have an opportunity to provide input on desired attributes for the next vice president for administration during a listening session Monday, March 19, at 1 p.m. in Room 506 of Coe Library.
The listening session is hosted by the committee charged with searching for a successor to retiring Vice President Bill Mai.
“We want to receive input from faculty and staff regarding what qualifications, experience and skills are important to them in a successful candidate,” says Vice President for Information Technology Robert Aylward, who chairs the search committee.
The search committee will take the input it receives into account as it begins to review applicant materials and select candidates for initial interviews.
The listening session will air on the WyoCast system at https://wyocast.uwyo.edu/WyoCast/Play/504d5f0574104c319c8129538abf86b21d.
Mai, who has served in his current role since 2013, will conclude his service at UW June 30. The vice president for administration has responsibility for more than 380 staff members in the Division of Finance and Administration; manages an operational budget of $205.5 million; and oversees 832 acres on the Laramie campus, 188 facilities representing close 7.2 million square feet, and additional property located throughout the state.
