Recognized student organization (RSO) awards of excellence nominations end Friday, April 6. These awards are an important way to recognize outstanding organizations on the University of Wyoming campus.
Nominations are accepted through the Campus Activities Center (CAC) online at www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/rso/rso-awards/nominations.html. There are individual links to each award form.
Nominations will be accepted from RSO officers, members and advisers, and from students, faculty and staff who have worked with the specific RSOs they are nominating. You may nominate multiple groups for different awards.
The RSO awards of excellence banquet will be Monday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Union.
RSO and student leaders have a significant impact at UW, with more than 250 organizations providing outlets for UW students to become involved, make friends and network with other students.
RSOs host hundreds of events on and off campus, and members attend conferences that enhance their professional development. Members participate in service activities that impact the university and local community.
“These reasons alone are enough to recognize these groups and their accomplishments; however, there also are monetary incentives for RSOs associated with some of the awards, allowing them to further their organization,” says Hannah Ellis, CAC marketing intern.
