Students and other members of the University of Wyoming community are encouraged to meet the two candidates coming to campus for the associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students search.
Nycole Courtney and Kimberly Chestnut will visit campus Friday, June 15, and Monday, June 18.
Chestnut is the assistant vice president at West Chester University in West Chester, Pa., a post she has held since 2017. West Chester University was founded in 1871 and serves a total full-time undergraduate enrollment of 13,000 students. Chestnut earned her Ph.D. in human sexuality education from Widener University in Chester, Pa., in 2009.
Courtney is UW’s interim associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, a post she has held since July 2017, when then-AVP Sean Blackburn was selected as vice president for student affairs. Courtney earned her Ed.D. in higher education leadership from UW in 2014.
As a part of the on-campus interview, each candidate is scheduled to give a public presentation.

A committee, co-chaired by Chief Diversity Officer Emily Monago and Eric Webb, executive director of Residence Life, Dining Services and Student Affairs Business and Facilities Operations, narrowed the pool of applicants and recommended the finalists to Blackburn.
