The University of Wyoming Faculty Jazz Quintet will present a concert Monday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature compositions by Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, and original compositions from the faculty members.
The quintet is composed of UW Department of Music faculty members: Lecturer Ryan Fourt, guitar; Associate Professor Ben Markley, piano; Lecturer Gonzalo Teppa, bass; Professor Scott Turpen, saxophone; and Assistant Professor Andy Wheelock, percussion.
All of the members of the quintet are accomplished musicians who have played with other noted musicians in the area and around the world. To read the performers’ individual biographies, click on their respective names here.
