UW Board of Trustees to Meet March 26 Via Teleconference

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will receive updates on the university’s COVID-19 coronavirus response, construction projects and other issues during the board’s regular meeting Thursday, March 26.

A discussion with incoming UW President Ed Seidel also is part of the agenda, along with the annual election of board officers.

The meeting will be conducted via teleconference due to Gov. Mark Gordon’s order against gatherings in public places in Wyoming. Public participation will be via teleconference, as UW facilities are closed to the public.

Two committees of the board -- the Facilities Contracting Committee and the Biennium Budget Committee -- will meet Wednesday, March 25, also via teleconference. Those sessions are set for 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., respectively.

Thursday’s meeting of the full board will begin with an executive session at 8 a.m., with the public session slated to start at 9:15 a.m.

Public testimony will be accepted at 11 a.m. Thursday. Those wishing to offer verbal testimony are asked to email trustees@uwyo.edu or call (307) 766-4121 by noon Wednesday, March 25, so they can receive instructions on how to do so.

The board’s discussion with Seidel is scheduled to follow the conclusion of the board’s usual business meeting agenda Thursday afternoon.

The public sessions of the board and its committees may be observed by the public via UW’s WyoCast system.
