UW Staff Recognition Day Changes to Virtual Event March 24

Due to the University of Wyoming’s latest COVID-19 recommendations, Staff Recognition Day will be held as a virtual event instead of a gathering this semester.

The annual event is scheduled Tuesday, March 24. Staff Recognition Day honors the hard-working staff of UW. It provides an opportunity to show all staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

UW’s Staff Recognition Committee members will host a virtual event to announce award winners Tuesday, March 24, at 10 a.m., streamed through Zoom. No in-person gathering will occur at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center, where the event was originally scheduled.

Other information to recognize staff includes:

-- The committee will draw for door prizes and alert winners by email.

-- All door prizes and years of service prizes will be available for pickup Tuesday, March 24, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Senate Chambers, located on the second floor of the Wyoming Union.

-- Staff members are urged to check the years of service site to see if their names are on the list.

-- There will not be any food or beverages at the awards/prizes pickup areas.

-- If a staff member is nominated for an award, he/she will receive a letter with nominators’ comments this week.
