University of Wyoming employees are invited to a virtual town-hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. today (Monday) to learn more about the university’s fall return plan.
The session will air on WyoCast at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/FallReturnEmployeesAug3. It also will be recorded for later viewing using that link.
Following a welcome by President Ed Seidel and a brief presentation on measures the university is taking to have a successful semester amid the COVID-19 pandemic, employees will be allowed to submit written questions via WyoCast. Instructions on how to submit questions may be found here.
“There are many moving parts to our plan for the fall semester, requiring new and different approaches for just about everyone associated with UW,” Seidel says. “We hope this virtual town hall will help bring more clarity for our faculty and staff as the semester approaches, and allow for questions to be answered in a manner that will provide broad guidance and important details.”
The time of this initial town-hall meeting for employees with Seidel was necessary to provide greatest opportunity for participation of fall return working group chairs and others in a timely manner. Additional town-hall meetings are being planned to take place before the start of the semester and after it begins. The university will endeavor to schedule those sessions during the regular workday and allow release time for employees to participate.
