University of Wyoming faculty members are invited to a virtual town-hall meeting Monday, Aug. 10, at 3:30 p.m. regarding instructional and other issues for the fall 2020 semester.
The session will air on both WyoCast and YouTube. Links to both streaming options can be found at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/townhallaug10.
UW President Ed Seidel will lead off the session, and Interim Provost Anne Alexander and others will provide updates on issues including syllabi content, posting and flexibility; communicating with students before the semester starts; and “hyflex” and “flipped” classrooms.
A question-and-answer period will follow regarding those topics and others related to UW’s COVID-19 policy and plans for the fall semester.
Faculty members are encouraged to submit questions beforehand by emailing townhall@uwyo.edu or going here; those questions will be given priority. Questions also may be submitted during the session via WyoCast; instructions on how to submit questions may be found here.
“This is a great opportunity for faculty to ask questions and bring up issues they are facing,” Alexander says. “We’re looking forward to having this dialogue.”
