Shawn Hess, Country Skillet to Perform at UW Summer Concert Series July 14

Local musicians Shawn Hess and The Country Skillet Band will perform Wednesday, July 14, as part of the University of Wyoming’s Summer Concert Series. The event is free and open to the public.

Hess and the band will perform from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on Simpson Plaza. A barbecue lunch meal deal, including vegetarian options, will be available for purchase for $8. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Wyoming Union Ballroom.

Hess and The Country Skillet Band, hailing from Laramie, are Wyoming-grown musicians. Their repertoire ranges from original honky-tonk and introspective Americana to classic country standards. For more information, follow Hess and the band on Facebook.
