Listening Session Thursday on UW Degree Programs Eyed for Elimination

A listening session is scheduled Thursday, Sept. 9, at 8 a.m. to receive comment on the University of Wyoming’s proposal to eliminate bachelor’s degrees in French, German and secondary education/languages.

Those degrees are among a number of low-enrollment programs identified for elimination as part of a multifaceted academic restructuring plan for the university. Under UW Regulation 2-13, which governs program discontinuance, reorganization, consolidation or reduction, the administration is accepting input on the plan before presenting a final proposal to the UW Board of Trustees.
