The University of Wyoming Accessibility Committee collaborated on a project to recognize the contributions of university employees with disabilities.
A video was produced in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). To view the nearly two-minute video, go here. The message in the video reiterates, “The university is committed to fostering an inclusive workforce environment. We’ve implemented policies to support a campus that provides full access to employment for people with disabilities.”
The NDEAM awareness campaign would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; the UW Accessibility Committee; the Veterans Services Center; and Institutional Marketing, says Christi Carter, director of strategic inclusivity initiatives in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
“We would like to acknowledge the contributions of UW employees with disabilities as well as the partners who have worked on this project,” she adds.
