The official call for entries is available online for the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s 47th annual Juried UW Student Exhibition.
The exhibition is open to any student enrolled at UW during the current academic year. The exhibition also is open to any in-state student enrolled through UW distance courses. UW students on and off campus are encouraged to submit their artwork for consideration.
Students have until Sunday, Jan. 9, to submit up to three original artworks for consideration at https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=9589. The exhibition will be on view at the UW Art Museum Feb. 19-May 14, 2022, with an opening reception and awards ceremony Friday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m.
Scholarship and purchase awards are available to accepted students. Awards will be announced at 6:30 p.m. during the exhibition opening reception.
Original artwork may include paintings, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, graphic design, ceramics and mixed media. Students may opt to allow images of their selected artwork to be archived by the UW Libraries online repository.
Each year, a juror for the exhibition is chosen from outside Wyoming. This year’s juror is Natalia Ángeles Vieyra, Maher Curatorial Fellow of American Art at the Harvard Art Museums. She specializes in the art and material culture of the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean.
