A reception for Keener Fry, who will retire at the end of January as the executive director of the University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA), is 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center’s Legacy Hall.
UW Vice President for Student Affairs Kim Chestnut and Ben Blalock, the UW Foundation executive director and CEO, will both give remarks at 3:45 p.m. during the reception. Appetizers will be provided.
Fry’s UW career began in 1997, when he began as the senior associate athletics director -- a position he held until 2001. In 2007, he became development director for the Cowboy Joe Club and, in 2011, he was appointed as the UWAA executive director.
“To be able to be an alumni director at UW was the top highlight of my 41-year professional career,” Fry says. He and his wife are relocating to Colorado Springs, Colo., to be closer to their family, especially their two grandchildren, with another on the way.
For more information about Fry’s reception, call the UWAA office at (307) 766-4166 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
