Hours Changed for UW Staff Recognition Day April 18

This spring’s University of Wyoming Staff Recognition Day will have an earlier starting time than originally planned.

The annual program will now be from 8-10 a.m. Monday, April 18, in the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. The event will feature door prizes, entertainment, years of service recognition and awards to UW’s outstanding staff members. A highlight will be the announcement of the Employee of the Year.

Staff Recognition Day provides an opportunity to show staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

UW employees have a maximum of 2.5 hours of release time to attend the annual event honoring the hard-working staff of UW. The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.
