The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will revisit UW’s COVID-19 mask policy during the board’s regular teleconference meeting Wednesday, Feb. 16.
The meeting will begin with an executive session at 7:30 a.m. The public session, expected to begin around 8:30 a.m., will be livestreamed via UW’s WyoCast system and YouTube at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/trusteesfeb22/.
The board voted in December to extend UW’s requirement for masks in most buildings where 6-foot social distancing isn’t possible until the Feb. 16 meeting. President Ed Seidel is recommending adjustments to the mask policy so that, effective Feb. 21, masks would continue to be required in all UW classrooms, medically related units, the Early Care and Education Center, and any UW office when requested by the office occupant. At other campus locations, masks would be strongly encouraged.
He also recommends that the revised mask policy, if approved by the board, remain in effect until the trustees’ March 23-25 meeting.
The board’s complete agenda, along with a report that includes background information on agenda items, is available at www.uwyo.edu/trustees/2022-meeting-materials/february_16_2022_meeting.html.
