Tuesday UW Idea Lab to Explore Open Scholarship, Open Education

Members of the University of Wyoming community are invited to participate in a strategic planning Idea Lab Tuesday, April 19, focused on “Open Scholarship, Open Science, Open Education and the Institutional Repository.”

It’s scheduled from 2-4 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. For those outside Laramie, a Zoom link is available by emailing Vice Provost for Strategic Planning and Initiatives Anne Alexander at aalex@uwyo.edu.

Led by UW’s Strategic Planning Team, Idea Labs are workshops designed to collect feedback and good ideas. Each two-hour Idea Lab takes a deep dive into a focused topic related to UW’s mission of teaching, research and service. Tuesday’s session is the last one scheduled, although it’s possible other topics may be added later.

Tuesday’s Idea Lab will explore UW’s repository role in public access to publicly funded research and scholarship, as well as the university’s role in the future of open scholarship, open science and open education.
