The University of Wyoming Department of Music will present the Brass Chamber Recital Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall.
The recital, which is free and open to the public, will feature a program of works by various UW brass ensembles.
The musical lineup is as follows:
-- The Baroque Trumpet Ensemble will perform “Concert De Trompettes” by Michel Richard Delande.
-- The Horn Quartet will present “Hesitant Optimism” and “Breaking Expectations.”
-- The Low Pokes, a tuba ensemble, will present “Loch Lomond,” arranged by Mike Forbes.
-- The Trumpet Ensemble will perform “Florisshen” by Amy Dunker.
-- The Trombone Choir will present “Back to the Fair,” arranged by Bill Reichenbach; “Salvation Is Created” by Pavel Chesnokov, arranged by Eric Burger; and “One Final Push” by Brian Sadler.
-- The Laramie Chamber Artists, a brass quintet, will perform “Revecy Venir Du Printans” by Claude Le Juene.
-- The Cutthroat Brass, a brass quintet, will perform “Vuelta del Fuego” by Kevin McKee.
