A variety of holiday music, from traditional to audience favorites, will be performed. The concerts will begin with the traditional “Personent hodie,” and all of the UW choral ensembles will be featured in the first half of the performance.
After intermission, the UW Wind Symphony will begin with a wry twisting of a medley of carols in “Secret Agent Santa,” followed by featured vocal arts faculty member Erik Erlandson in an arrangement by Belser on “O Holy Night.”
Also featured will be Leroy Anderson’s popular “Sleigh Ride,” followed by the finale with combined band and choirs on Alfred Reed’s “Russian Christmas.” Choral parts were written by Belser.
