UW to Host Regional Chemical Engineering Student Group April 21-22

For the first time in eight years, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Rocky Mountain Regional Conference will be held at the University of Wyoming.

Nearly 100 students, representing 11 colleges, will attend workshops and compete in multiple competitions Friday and Saturday, April 21-22. The UW AIChE student chapter will host the “ChemE Car,” “Jeopardy!” and 3D printing competitions. A poster symposium and a mini engineering job fair also are planned.

“We are looking forward to seeing the AIChE student chapters from the Rocky Mountain region at UW this spring,” says Jenna Crouse, UW’s AIChE student chapter president and a senior chemical engineering student from Casper. “The students have a great opportunity to compete, share ideas and network with industry professionals.”

The conference begins at 4 p.m. April 21, and it will resume at 8 a.m. April 22. The program ends at 8 p.m. April 22 following a keynote presentation.
